Simple and quick, regular cheese toast is always good, but California style cheese toast is better! Fresh salsa adds a great flavour kick to this traditional snack, and adds great nutritional value.
INGREDIENTS
Sliced sourdough bread (or bread of your choice)
2 cups grated cheese of your choice (a light cheese that melts well)
Richie’s California Style Fresh Salsa (fresh red)
PREPARATION
Step 1: Spoon 3 tablespoons of Richie’s California Style Fresh Salsa on each slice of bread, and spread so it is evenly distributed
Step 2: Place a handful of grated cheese on each slice of bread. I use a combination of Monterey Jack and American Cheddar cheeses.
Step 3: Turn on the grill. Cover a grill or oven tray with foil and place prepared bread slices on the tray. Grill for 10 minutes or so until cheese is melted and bread is toasted. Serve immediately.
